We design and manufacture completely custom fit products. Our covers will only fit the vehicle they are specified for.
How is the half cover protected from theft?
The cover is secured to your vehicle using padded ribs on the underside of the cover. These are trapped inside the closed doors and trunk so that the cover cannot be removed without unlocking and opening the car.
Are these half covers waterproof?
Our half covers are made from a Poly-Urethane-coated woven polyester, and are waterproof. However, since the weather is unpredictable and harsh on anything fabric, we recommend regular cleaning and maintenance of your fabric roof protector to help preserve its colour and water-proofing ability. This is as easy as washing your car’s soft top: STEP 1 – use a gentle car shampoo; STEP 2 – apply a fabric protectant (Full instructions provided with your cover).
How should I store the cover?
The cover should be dried out before being stored in the storage bag.
Can I use my cover on a towed vehicle?
We do not recommend using a cover on a towed vehicle or an open trailer. In addition to the flapping of the cover on the vehicle's paint finish, road dirt and debris may become trapped between the cover and the finish, causing damage to your paint.
Will a half cover scratch my car?
None of the materials we use to make our covers will scratch your vehicle. However, it is important that the cover is used properly, i.e. used on a clean vehicle, and that the magnets sewn in to the edge of the cover to secure it down are not dragged in to place when installing or removing your cover.
Can I use my cover when it’s windy?
Our covers provide a snug fit on your vehicle, and attach via padded ribs trapped inside the doors, as well as magnets along the edge of the cover, so they will stay put under normal wind conditions. Like any fabric, a car cover is susceptible to the wind, and although these are relatively heavy covers that perform well in windy areas, storm and wind damage is not covered by our warranty.
Protecting from moisture?
Under normal usage our half covers protect your soft top from all sorts of weather, tree sap, dirt, stray cats and the like. We recommend checking for moisture under your cover regularly, and removing and “airing out” your soft top and cover. The time frame for this is dependant on local weather conditions and humidity in your area, so there is no hard and fast rule here. If moisture becomes trapped underneath the cover for too long it can result in mold and bacteria formation that can fog your paintwork, or create water spots. North American Custom Covers is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use or misuse of our half covers.
Can I use my cover on a wet vehicle?
We do not recommend using your cover on a wet vehicle for any more than a day or so, for the reasons given above in "Protecting from moisture?”
What if my cover freezes?
In very cold weather, if you have not taken the precaution to air out the cover regularly, it is possible a wet cover could freeze to your car. Do not remove your car cover if it has frozen to your vehicle – you risk damage to both the vehicle and to the car cover. The car cover must be thawed before removal. This process can be expedited by pouring warm water over the cover. Please take precautions as you remove the cover as any damage is not covered by our warranty.
Folding and storing your half cover
If you fold your half cover methodically, and in a tidy fashion, the cover if much easier to reinstall the next time.
Fold each side up onto the roof, and then fold the front and rear portion of the cover on to the roof. You now have approximately a 3 ft x 3 ft square. From one side, fold a third of the cover in to the middle, and then from the other side, fold the other third in to the middle. The cover can now be folded from front to back, to a size suitable for the storage bag.
The cover should be dried out before being stored in the storage bag for more than a day or so, to prevent the build up of mold if the cover is folded when wet.
Do you supply a product warranty?
All our products come with a 6 month warranty against manufacturer defects. Should you notice a manufacturing fault, please contact us immediately to arrange a return / replacement. Usage of our half covers is at the sole risk and discretion of the user. North American Custom Covers is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use or misuse of a car cover.

This cover was installed on a 3rd generation MX-5 to prevent the Hawaii UV's from deteriorating the fabric top. The materials of the cover appear to be very durable; the fabric is thick and the securing tabs appear to be strong. If I don't follow up next summer to let you know how well the cover has held up, please assume it's because of the high quality of your product.
Overall good. Some rear fabric bunching, and the seams are not h2o proof - seam seal required. Color grey much better in summer.
Fairly heavy duty, easy to use and seems to be of very good quality. If I could make a suggestion, produce them in white. White does not absorb the heat from the Florida sun as much...and may make them last longer.
I tried a few full covers and other cheap roof/cabin covers but nothing is as well designed and functional as this. Just get it.
This car cover for my 2006 MX-5 is exactly what I have been looking for. Fits just like it should and the "locking" padded tabs are genius. Easy on, easy off and secure in our Florida rain storms. Don't know why I didn't find this earlier. Thanks.

This is the best half-cover on the market, especially if you've an older (not quite waterproof) top and rainrail. It's very easy to put on and take off and stays put in high winds. It's the second one I've purchased; that's how much I like it. The first one lasted far longer than any other half-cover, considering that NB is parked outside 27/7/365 in northeastern US weather. If you've questions, their customer service is great!
This was a xmas gift to my parents and they LOVE it. Gets the job done and excellent quality. It has magnets that help it stick to the car during windy conditions. The velcro straps help as well. Good weatherproofing and looks good. Thank you
Cover fits well and looks nice. It definitely helps, but is not completely waterproof. Company is in Canada and there was a $16.95 delivery fee. This is the 2nd cover I have purchased as the 1st one barely lasted 1½ years in the Florida sun.

I’ve been using cheap solutions that don’t fit right, aren’t waterproof and haven’t lasted. I’ve spent more on three cheap covers than this one. Someday I may learn to just buy quality the first time.
This half cover is great for Utah winters with my N.A. Miata that I occasionally need to put out in the weather while I work on a different project in the garage. I like the hold down design, it’s very secure in wind and it has proven completely waterproof for my aging soft top with leaky rear window. Wish I bought this a while ago.
If every company had the same excellent product and excellent customer service the world would be a better place. The cover for my 2023 Mazda Miata fits great. My cover got "Lost" is UPS customs and customer service provided excellent support.

You never know with something like a car cover what to expect. This Mazda MX-5 soft top cover fits like a glove and the fabric is perfect. Easy to put on and take off, literally a minute or two. I fold it up and store in trunk. Protects soft top from hot sun, bird droppings etc. Highly recommend.

Excellent product, excellent value. Fits my 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata perfectly. Takes only a couple of minutes to securely put it on the vehicle. We had over half an inch of rain last night, and the soft top is bone dry. The outer material seems very tough, and I expect this cover will last for a long time.
